The moulded components of the DO 550 are made from modern, lightweight, high-quality plastics that are strong, light and impact-resistant. The cams and bases are made from seawater-resistant aluminium, anodised to ensure a long service life in the harsh marine environment.<\/span><\/p>
This genuine coupling mechanism allows pipes to be adjusted through the device into the closed, locked position with minimal slippage.
Unlocking under load is reliable and requires little effort.
The mechanism opens and closes smoothly and is easy to operate, even with cold, wet hands. The handle also features a secure lock in the closed position.<\/p>
The ridge and base of the coupling, made from high-quality extruded aluminium, feature a specially hardened tooth design that ensures maximum grip with minimal slippage, whilst at the same time protecting the lines.
Stainless steel line guides are fitted at both the inlet and outlet of the line; this helps to prevent wear on both the coupling and the lines.<\/p>
