The external air pre-treatment system (UTA) is designed to provide the interior spaces of the vessel, which have insufficient natural air exchange with the outside air, with a variable quantity of air to ensure (in synergy with the exhaust system) the air exchange required in the specifications. Each Frigomar air handling unit, regardless of capacity, is equipped with a powerful filter barrier to block airborne solid particles, a radiant element connected to the central air conditioning system via a separate duct, a powerful variable-speed centrifugal fan, a UVC lamp for air sterilisation and a digital controller for monitoring the temperature of the air blown into the room. Adjusted UTAs can be made on request .

The outdoor air pre-treatment system (UTA) is designed to supply a variable volume of air to the interior of the vessel when natural air exchange with the outside air is insufficient, in order to ensure (in conjunction with the extraction system) that the air exchange rates specified in the technical specifications are achieved. Every Frigomar air handling unit (AHU), regardless of its capacity, is fitted with a high-efficiency filter to capture solid particles in the air, a radiator connected to the central air-conditioning system via a separate duct, a high-head, variable-speed centrifugal fan, a UVC lamp for air sterilisation and a digital controller for monitoring the temperature of the air supplied to the room. On request, UTA- units are manufactured to order.
