Automatic extinguishing system 960 Series (FK-5-1-12) - for yachts up to 24 metres The 960 Series extinguishing system is a reliable and efficient solution for fire protection in engine rooms of yachts up to 24 metres, as well as CE-certified commercial and work boats of any length. Thanks to the use of the modern extinguishing agent FK-5-1-12, this system is a future-proof alternative to traditional HFC systems and is particularly suitable for refit projects. Switching from HFC to FK-5-1-12 is easy, making this system ideal for replacing existing installations that no longer comply with current regulations. The system is available directly from stock, fully prepared for installation and designed with ease of use and serviceability in mind. Moreover, it is manufactured in Europe and complies with international maritime standards. The wide product range offers solutions for a variety of machine room volumes. The cylinders are available in sizes from 50 ft³ to 2475 ft³, with increments of 25 ft³ (about 0.7 m³). This allows precise adaptation to the specific situation on board. In a single-cylinder configuration, coverage is possible up to 70 m³, while a two-cylinder configuration is suitable for volumes up to 140 m³. Activation of the system can be arranged flexibly. Depending on the application, manual, automatic or combined activation can be chosen. The automatic variant uses a temperature-sensitive bulb that breaks at 79 °C and activates the system. In addition, electric and pneumatic activation options are available. The system comes complete with all essential components, including a valve with pressure gauge, nozzle, wall bracket and pressure switch for coupling with a shutdown unit. A clear status indicator is also provided for filling and discharging status. All components are labelled with relevant product information such as serial number, weight and production batch.
