By specification, there is no equal to the Optiparts BLACKGOLD™ spar sets. Three 45 micron Black hard anodised 7075 Optimist masts, choice of three black anodised Optimist booms and two black anodised 7075 Optimist sprits. Full black fittings, hard anodised cleats, a black sprit scuff guard, captured eye straps on the boom, a drop cleat with becket. Zero stretch, zero creep, black, Vectran line pack, Harken ball bearing drop blocks and pure Dyneema split halyards.

We offer a choice of three booms:

40 mm BLACKGOLD™ MEDIUM Optimist boom (EX940). A stiff and lightweight Optimist boom suitable for most sailors.
45 mm BLACKGOLD™ POWER Optimist boom (EX945). A stiffer Optimist boom to keep more tension on the leech for the heavier sailor. The smaller bridle gives more room when tacking.
55 mm BLACKMAX™ Optimist boom (EX955). This ultra-rigid yet lightweight Optimist boom can be used without a bridle. This allows the larger sailor to land further forward when tacking.

All Optimist booms from Optiparts are made of high-quality, hardened tubing. Equipped with captive eye straps, black nylon inboard and outboard end fittings, nylon outhaul cleat, outhaul trim gauge, 4 mm Vectran outhaul and a Dyneema bridle and vang.

Suitable for the majority of sailors, the 27 mm Blackgold MEDIUM sprit is made of black anodised 7075 tube and fitted with black end hardware and sprit scuff guard. This sprit is 20% stiffer than the 26.6 mm Blackgold LITE sprit.
