Barton's boom head holder. Two fibreglass rods hold up the boom. Fibres lie longitudinally to increase erection capacity. No crane line needed any more. When the mainsheet or downrigger is pulled, the Boom Strut automatically bends with it. The Boom Strut can be shortened and comes complete with fittings for mast and boom. Easy and quick to assemble thanks to the included mounting material. Excluding blocks. Very favourable price compared to pressure spring and gas spring systems.

The patented flexible spring ensures a rapid response and constant force for efficient boom operation.

The lightweight, unobtrusive design of the boom strut features two flexible, coated fibreglass rods that provide the force needed to support the boom. Pulling the boom down using a conventional kicker causes the boom strut to bend; releasing the kicker allows the rods to extend again, lifting and supporting the boom.

The existing groove in the luff can be used for mounting the mast.

To avoid the need for drilling, the Boomstrut’s mast bracket can be slid into the luff groove of your mast.
