The moulded components of the DO 550 are made from modern, lightweight, high-quality plastics that are strong, light and impact-resistant. The cams and bases are made from seawater-resistant aluminium, anodised to ensure a long service life in the harsh marine environment.

Actual clutch mechanism
This genuine coupling mechanism allows pipes to be adjusted through the device into the closed, locked position with minimal slippage.
Unlocking under load is reliable and requires little effort.
The mechanism opens and closes smoothly and is easy to operate, even with cold, wet hands. The handle also features a secure lock in the closed position.

Suitable for a weight-watchers diet:
The ridge and base of the coupling, made from high-quality extruded aluminium, feature a specially hardened tooth design that ensures maximum grip with minimal slippage, whilst at the same time protecting the lines.
Stainless steel line guides are fitted at both the inlet and outlet of the line; this helps to prevent wear on both the coupling and the lines.

Thanks to the bolted joints, maintenance is straightforward.
The DO 550 coupling range offers the advantage of being easy to fit using bolts, making maintenance and the replacement of parts straightforward. A full range of components is available from our Barton dealer.

Important fitting instructions: rope clamps.
When fitting, ensure that the cable runs straight and evenly through the clamp to prevent wear on the side plates and/or reduced
to prevent financial strain.
For optimum performance, position the clamp approximately 300 mm in front of the winch to ensure smooth guidance
to ensure this in both the vertical and horizontal directions.
Use Barton deck organisers for the clamp to ensure perfect alignment.
Always use a through-bolt fastening with a suitable sealant.
A drilling template is included on the packaging for your convenience.

Ergonomically designed handle.
The handle is sturdy and fits comfortably in the hand, with a smooth locking and unlocking mechanism.
A unique feature of this new design is the removable insert at the top of the handle.
These inserts are available separately in various pack sizes, for both cruising yachts and racing yachts.
