Belship and the environment

At Belship, we try to be aware of the impact we as a company have on the environment and nature. We want to minimise and, where possible, reduce the harmful impact of our activities. We pay attention to our housing and energy consumption, but also to packaging materials, and the products themselves.
This includes replacing all fluorescent lighting in our premises with sustainable LED lighting. If we welcome you to our stand at a trade fair, you will receive coffee in a cardboard cup.
Already many years ago, we switched to e-invoicing instead of printing everything out and sending it by post.
We pack our shipments using mostly recycled or recyclable materials; we buy virtually no packaging materials that cannot be reused, and ask our suppliers to do the same. We have invested in equipment that allows us to turn waste cardboard into usable packaging material again.

At Belship, we try to be aware of the impact we as a company have on the environment and nature. We aim to minimise and, where possible, reduce the harmful impact of our activities.

Together with our suppliers, we look for products that achieve their purpose with as little negative impact on the environment as possible. This can be in terms of sustainability through greater efficiency in energy use. For instance, Belship was one of the forerunners in embracing LED technology for lighting on ships. Another example is our energy-efficient air-conditioning systems. In addition, we are a supplier of biodegradable plant-based cleaning agents , and brushes made from recycled plastic, for example.

As a company, we continue to look for ways to help us treat nature and the environment responsibly, we hope that our customers will also participate in this.

Belship believes that caring for the environment and preventing pollution damage is of great importance , especially on the water.

One opportunity lies in offering products that offer a more environmentally friendly alternative to common chemical- and often toxic-based agents.

In particular, cleaning agents and antifreeze enter surface water directly and untreated due to the way they are used. This has a serious and ongoing negative impact on the ecosystem and water quality.

We have now included a number of product lines such as Solbio, Vake and Ecoworks, which offer a responsible and effective alternative to this.

These products are based on mostly plant-based raw materials, which can be sustainably and renewably produced, and are fully biodegraded after use into neutral organic substances that are reintroduced into the ecosystem.
